How to make Nigerian Stew
Stew is one of the most popular food in Nigeria because it is easy to make and also very versatile. A batch can last you through several meals, it can be used to eat practically anything. It can be made with any type of meat you like and with any ingredient of your choice. So really there isn't just one way of making this which is good because you can spice it up to match your own taste.
Ingredients
- Groundnut oil
- Boiled Tomato and pepper paste
- Tomato Puree
- Chopped onions
- Boiled Tilapia fish
- Curry seasoning
- Maggi cubes
- Salt
- Crayfish
Steps
- Pour a small amount of groundnut oil on a dry pot on medium to high heat
- Add the chopped onions, allow to fry for about 1min
- Add boiled Tomato and pepper paste
- Stir and fry for about 2mins
- Add Tomato puree
- Stir and allow to fry till sweet and suits your taste
- Add Curry seasoning, salt and Maggi cubes
- stir until well blended
- Add water, meat stock or both till its as thick as you like
- Gently add Fish
- Stir this together carefully
- Cover Pot and allow food to boil for 10 - 20 mins
Serve deliciousness.
