HOW TO MAKE UGBA AND ABACHA

Ugba and Abacha also known as African salad is a combination of local Nigerian recipes. It can be a snack, an appetiser or a full meal. It can be made with several ingredients to match your taste. This is the basic local recipe. It is very tasty and delicious.  INGREDIENTS Ugba (shredded oil bean) Abacha ( dried shredded casava) Palmoil Utazizi leaf (bitterleaf) Akaun (potash) Stockfish  Gardeneggs Grinded pepper  Crayfish  Maggi cubes  Mix the Akaun with water.  Before putting the ingredients on heat, first mix them all in a bowl or in the pot. Make sure to wash the ugba very well to remove sand.  Mix : Palmoil, Akaun, ugbah, abacha, stockfish, gardenegg, maggi cubes, crayfish, utazizi leaf and pepper.  Put your mixed ingredients on low to medium heat and allow all the ingredients mix well. Green vegetable sauce is one of the many different ways to eat yam and potatoes in Nigeria. The recipes are simple and method easy and very straight forward. INGREDIENTS Palmoil with salt Green Fresh Pepper and Tomatoes Chopped onions  Crayfish Maggi cubes  STEPS Pour Palmoil into a pot on medium to high heat  Add Chopped onions  Add your pepper and Tomatoes and allow boil a bit  Add the green (vegetable) Add crayfish and Maggi cubes  Turn well and cover to boil  Very easy and straight forward but really delicious.  Click to watch the video.

INGREDIENTS Okra/okro and onions  Palmoil Pepper Paste  Waterleave Uziza leave Assorted seafood (crabs, fish,crayfish,shrimp) Crayfish  Maggi cubes Salt  STEPS Add Palmoil into a dry pot Add Pepper paste, stir and allow to fry for 30secs - 1 min Add waterleaves, stir and allow to boil for 1 min Add water  Add the hard shelled seafood  Add okro and onions  stir well and allow to boil  Add crayfish, water and stock  Add Maggi cubes and salt  Stir well Add Uziza leave Add Soft fish  Stir gently so it won't break into pieces  Cover pot and allow soup to boil well for 2-3 mins  Click below to watch video 

How to make ogbono soup

Ogbono soup is one of the easiest Nigerian soups to make because the ingredients used are easy and affordable, even the process is very straight forward and easy to learn. INGREDIENTS   Palm oil Boiled meat Ogbono (Grind your ogbono with Ghana pepper and crayfish): mix Ogbono with palmoil Ugwu leave Uziza leave Dry and Stock fish Grinded pepper Salt  Maggi cubes  Kpomo Crayfish chopped onions STEPS Pour Palm oil into a dry pot  Add chopped onions  Add meat Add dry and stock fish  Add grinder pepper  Pour water necessary for your potion Turn, cover pot and allow to boil for 2 min Open pot and add Ogbono mixture Turn until thick  Add Kpomo  Add crayfish and Maggi cubes Add ugwu and uziza leaves Turn well and allow to boil Serve with Eba, Pounded yam, Semo and anything else you like to eat.  Don't forget to watch and subscribe to my channel.

Nigerian Jollof rice is one of the most famous Nigerian food. Everyone struggles trying to get it right and by right I mean get it to taste like a party rice. The best part of making jollof rice is that it can taste right enough with any added ingredient of your choice. Egusi Soup is one of the easiest Nigerian soups to make as long as you have the right steps and ingredients. You can use any or no meat to cook this and it will come out tasty and still nutritious. The recipe I use is the same one that has been passed down from my grandmother's mother to her and now its here for you. The trick in making egusi is to leave it on the fire for as long as you can.
